PROVINCES, (SANA) – The armed forces on Friday cleared the areas around the Hreitani building, Sports Institute and the Maternity Hospital in the neighborhood of al-Midan in the city of Aleppo from terrorist groups, killing tens of terrorists, including a Libyan sniper, and confiscating their weapons.
A source in the province told SANA that an armed forces’ unit raided a building that terrorists used as a hideout to target citizens in al-Midan neighborhood and inflicted heavy losses on them, adding that armed forces units killed a number of terrorists who were trying to enter the neighborhood after targeting them near al-Ansari Mosque.
An armed forces unit targeted a terrorist group near the Maternity Hospital as the terrorist were trying to run into Sleiman al-Halabi area, killing a number of terrorists and destroying a car loaded with weapons, ammo and terrorists that attempted to enter the neighborhood to aid their cohorts.
An army unit clashed with terrorists in al-Firdous area in Aleppo, destroying three DShK-equipped cars and killing the mercenary terrorists in them, while another unit carried out two operations near Bab al-Hadeed and Agior roundabouts, eliminating scores of terrorists.
In Bustan al-Basha neighborhood, the armed forces attacked a gathering of terrorists between al-Oroubeh Club and the Water Establishment, in addition to attacking another terrorist gathering near Zaki al-Arsouzi School in al-Jaberiyeh, killing many terrorists and destroying cars equipped with DShK machineguns and missile launchers.
Another army unit carried out two operations in Hanano area, one targeting a terrorist group near the crossroad to the Scientific Research Center and the second targeting terrorists near Mohammed Mustafa Merei School, eliminating a large number of terrorists and destroying two DShK-equipped cars.
An operation carried out by an armed forces unit in al-Jawhara Hall in al-Jazmati area resulted in the death of a number of terrorists, including seven terrorist leaders.
The armed forces also destroyed dozens of DShK-equipped vehicles that attempted to enter the city, with one armed forces unit destroying 3 cars full of terrorists near Tayyara crossroad on Aleppo-Raqqa highway, and while another unit ambushed three vehicles equipped with DShK machineguns near coming from Andan on Kafr Hamra road, destroying them along with the terrorists inside them. Another armed forces unit targeted a group of terrorists near Qasr al-Azm School on al-Bab road and destroyed 6 cars equipped with DShK machineguns.
Armed Forces Continue Chasing Terrorists in Damascus Countryside
In Damascus Countryside, units of the armed forces continued chasing terrorist groups in the areas of al-Sayyida Zainab and al-Hijeira inflicting heavy losses upon the terrorists’ ranks.
An official source told SANA reporter that a large number of terrorists were killed and many other wanted persons were arrested in the operations.
The source noted that a number of explosive devices planted by the terrorists in several streets were dismantled by members of the military engineering units.
SANA reporter mentioned that the armed forces confiscated a number of private and public cars which had been stolen by the terrorist groups, including cars that belonged to Damascus Countryside Electricity Institution.
DShK-equipped Cars Destroyed, Terrorists’ Infiltration Attempts from Lebanon Thwarted in Homs
A unit of the armed forces on Friday carried out an operation targeting gatherings of terrorists in the towns of Talbiseh and al-Rastan in the countryside of Homs.
A source in the province told SANA reporter that the operation resulted in inflicting big losses upon the terrorists.
Another unit of the armed forces destroyed a car equipped with a DShK machinegun near al-Hamidiyeh village in the countryside of al-Qseir, killing all the terrorists inside the car.
An army unit on Thursday night destroyed a car equipped with DShK machinegun in Tal al-Sadr in al-Qseir countryside, killing the terrorists inside the car.
Authorities and border guards on Thursday foiled several infiltration attempts by armed terrorist groups which tried to cross from Lebanon into the Syrian territories at the sites of Halat and Azir in Tal-kalakh, Homs countryside.
The clashes resulted in inflicting heavy losses upon the terrorists.
An army unit clashed with an armed terrorist group in Bab Houd in Homs city, scores of terrorists were killed and others were injured.
A unit of the army eliminated several armed terrorist groups in al-Rastan city in Homs.
SANA reporter quoted a source at the province as saying that the groups led by the terrorists Abdul-Ra’ouf Ayoub, Abu Salah and Salah al-Riz were eliminated.
The armed forces carried out an operation at Jobar and al-Sultaniye farms in Homs province, killing four terrorists and injuring seven.
The dead terrorists are Mohammad al-Qassem, Sleiman al-Qassem, Khaled Abdeljalil and a Tunisian terrorist referred to as Abu Mudar.
Authorities Seize Warehouse for Explosive Devices in Daraa City
In Daraa, the authorities found a warehouse filled with explosive devices in the cellar of a residential building in al-Kashef neighborhood in the city.
SANA reporter cited a source in the province as saying that the authorities also seized large amounts of stolen medicines and arrested a number of terrorists in various areas in the aforementioned neighbourhood.
Competent Authorities Confiscate Weapons in Daraa
The competent authorities confiscated three automatic rifles, two RPG launchers and big quantities of ammunition, including 6 missile chargers in the orchards of Ghabagheb town in Daraa countryside.
A source in the governorate told SANA that a number of explosive devices that the terrorists threw before fleeing were confiscated.

The competent authorities confiscated big amounts of weapons and ammunition from a terrorists’ hideout in al-Khalidiyeh neighborhood in Hama.
A source in the governorate told SANA that big number of terrorists were arrested inside the hideout.
