To better understand the present universe, we should go back to its beginning, as it is the case with the one of the most famous and important books in cosmology: “The first three minutes” by Steven Weinberg.
Few years before the spark of so-called “spring” in Syria:
In the few years preceding the uprising in Syria, and more precisely in Daraa, there was a systematic procedure, many of the owners of the lands frontier to Jordan, as some of my friends from Daraa told me, sold their lands to foreigners from Jordan and Arabic Gulf with high prices.
And when the Syrian authorities looked for those owners to interrogate them, it arrested some of people involved in this cause, as this suspicious phenomenon touches the national security, and this was the first spark when Al-Jazeera talked about Syrian security forces “torturing” Syrian children and “removing their nails” to incite the tribal society of Daraa.
However nor Al-Jazeera neither any other media has shown those “removed-nails children” because it was a mere lie.
Now, 1.5 year of the age of the crisis in Syria (at the time of writing it in 26 August 2012), we all hear talking about a “Buffer Zone” from USA, Turkey, France and others. Now, and just now, you can understand the aim behind selling frontier lands in Daraa before the first spark. The idea, that didn’t work, was to form that “insolating region” in Daraa.
Investigations lead to believe that the plan was to fire the spark of Syrian uprising in 2014 at the time of presidential elections in Syria, not in 15 March 2011, however, they (to you to guess the attribute of the pronoun “they”) found that it is just the appropriate moment to fire it in Syria as a normal destiny after the successive steps (Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and Yemen) and since Syria is the last republic Arabic Spring should arrive to.
It seems that Arabic Spring is restricted on republics (this is why I’m sure there is a “spring” being prepared for Algeria as well, at a certain time) and prohibited on Arabic Kingdoms (monarchies of Arabic Gulf, Jordan and Morocco), as for Iraq, the spring there has come one decade ago and prospered in Al-Qaeda groups, bombs everywhere, sectarian civil war, emigration or exile of Christians and an economical breakdown.
The “Arabic Spring”… was it a trick:
Well, I disagree with the theory that all this “Arabic Spring” was fabricated. If somebody believes in such an idea, he should convince people that CIA, for example, told that poor Tunisian man “Bu Azizi” to burn himself! However, I would like to introduce the following theory:
“Natural Start, External steering” Theorem, Bin Ali’s flight was a trick:
After the potential energy in the Arabic street has become large enough to fire electricity, it was enough to wait for the first spark. Well, they were waiting for the spark in Syria, however, as Physics says, the spark emanates from the weakest point, it seems to be Tunisia.
When the demonstrations in Tunisia spread enough, any reaction was expected from the president Bin Ali except his sudden flight! Bin Ali’s Tunisia wasn’t that monarchy, social demands could be met through many channels, but Bin Ali didn’t try any! He didn’t try even the worst option, which is the Yemeni scenario (to resign.)
Then, what is suspicious, why the post-revolution Tunisian authorities don’t seek the arrest of Bin Ali? Is he really in Saudi Arabia? Or he is in some beach or SPA in a French or British island in Latin America? And if he is really in Saudi Arabia, how can it be OK for the revolutionary government in Tunisia to have best relations with that kingdom who hosts the “dictator”?
France played a role
- First Al-Jazeera broadcasted its breaking news: “Bin Ali fled with his family in a personal helicopter heading to France,”
- Then, the next news: “France rejected hosting Bin Ali and he changed his track toward Saudi Arabia!”
It’s not likely the truth that “Bin Ali” flied toward France without a previous approval from there. I think France (i.e. its ruling power) wanted to give a message to the Arabic people that it will stands by their “revolutions” through this “noble” stance rejecting the “dictator”.
However, this “noble” role of France is not homogenous with its long history in Africa and the Middle East! It has always been the protector of dictators and corrupted authorities for its economical benefits. The fact that Qaddafi himself funded the presidential campaign for Sarkusi is just a recent example.
Bin Ali loves money and casinos more than politics!
It is probable, for me, that the godfathers of “New Middle East” in Washington, Paris and Tel Aviv, and their executive agents in Istanbul, Doha and Riadh, that they convinced Bin Ali to act this way, guaranteeing him a safe and luxury life, and it seems that he loves money and casinos more than politics! Actually, he worked as president in his spare time!
But the question is: “Why would be the godfathers of the Arabic Spring interested in this easy end of Tunisian revolution?” I think that they wanted to tell the other people in Middle East: “You see? It is that easy to topple the regime! And we are with you, so why don’t you try?”
Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt: “We have nothing to do with the demonstrations in Tahrir Sq.!
What happened immediately after the “victory” of the Tunisian “revolution,” is that demonstrations emanated in Egypt among people who are very far from Muslim Brotherhood! Even the latter issued a statement that they have nothing to do with the demonstrations in Al-Tahrir Sq.! Does the world know this fact?
Here was the start of the race of “Arabic Spring”! Here USA, UK and France got embarrassed! Even the media, BBC, CNN, Al-Arabiya, France 24 ..etc showed a lot of sympathy toward the Egyptian boss who have never been called a dictator in their media! However, they started to find a loophole: “Why don’t we absorb the Egyptian revolution by steering it in a good way?”
Those godfathers thought, “Since we know that there’s a tremendous enthusiasm toward Islamism, why don’t we make it an Islamic revolution?” At that moment, Muslim brotherhood started to ride the revolution.
When the Egyptian revolution triumphed, it was very disappointing to a large layer of Arabic people, including me, to witness the spoiled Sheikh who lives in Doha, Yussef Al-Qaradawi, giving the speech of victory in the Tahrir Sq. with an Islamic spirit, even with an incitation against the Islamic republic of Iran, instead of Israel who has been performing all kinds of aggression against people of Gaza that is controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood itself represented by Hamas!
Saudi vs. Syrian Islam and culture:
Dr. Khaled Al-Abboud, a Syrian parliamentary from Daraa, who have had the top number of votes in the last parliamentary elections, has revealed an interesting observation:
All the villages and big families that “revolted” against the state are connected to the Arabic Gulf with tribal relations or have a lot of their sons working there with long-term jobs!
Dr. Khaled Al-Abboud explained, a member of Baath party with a pure secular mind, in an interview at Syria News TV (Al-Ikhbaria TV) told that some of his acquaintance who had a national mentality when they were young, who believed in Syria as the homeland and believed that a Syrian, whatever his religion is, is a partner in the homeland and is closer than a Saudi, Pakistani or Libyan person… etc, those friends, after having passed many years in the Arabic Gulf for work and earning money, they came back brainwashed!
They started to talk and think in terms of “Sunna vs. Shiaa!!!” They lost their strong belief in their country as the first and main belongingness, in favor for other references originated, in first place, from Saudi Arabia and Arabic Gulf in general.
Arabic-Gulf-funded Syrian TV productions:
Furthermore, the role of Arabic Gulf was extended to include Syrian drama and TV production that has been reigning over all the TVs in the Arabic world for the last decade. Arabic-Gulf-funded Syrian productions were increasing year after year. Few Syrians complained about that at that time, I was one of those! However, I remember some Syrian protagonists replied with arrogance any critic of that phenomenon.
One may ask: What was wrong with funding Syrian TV production by producers from the Arabic Gulf?
In fact, those TV works generally had a common factor: Most of them did their best to image Syrian situation and government as miserable, deeply corrupted and underdeveloped. Nobody (nor I) wants to say that everything was good, but those TV works were giving an exaggerated image, where Syrians were the miserable people of Victor Hugo just before the French revolution. For instance, one of the most popular TV works of that kind is “Light Spot”.
From the name, you understand that EVERYTHING is black, that NOBODY dares criticizing the government or the corruption in Syria, except this TV comic sketches, while everybody did, including the newspaper of Al-Baath Party “Al-Baath”. I wonder why don’t the producers of the Arabic Gulf produce ONE TV work criticizing the situation in THEIR countries?!
It is remarkable that the Syrian governmental TV, Syria TV has been broadcasting these TV comic sketches till now (this year is may be its 5th version), which proves the “light” emerges from Syria, not from the Arabic Gulf, that is still lacking for any spot of light!
To be continued…
