Here, Western media and politicians would like us to believe that the Syrian government and allies are bombing civilians and medical facilities within the city, including those supported by Doctors Without Borders in refugee camps near the border with Turkey.
For instance, with regard to a deadly bombing that targeted Al-Quds Hospital in Aleppo last week, US Secretary of State John Kerry claims without a shred of evidence that it was the work of the Syrian government! That his statement reeks of hypocrisy or is severely lacking in accountability as US planes continue to strike hospitals in Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria, and Libya is not the purpose of this write-up. The point is that the War Party and its counterparts in NATO are completely divorced with reality, are losing the war, and are desperate for an exit route.
That says why their mainstream media are reporting the opposite of what is actually happening on the ground, which is indeed one of the most shameful episodes in the history of the Western press. The stark reality is that the virtuous course in Syria is not to fight the government and its Iranian-Russian allies. If indeed the US-led coalition of Turks, Saudis, and “moderates” is right, they should be fighting ISIL and Al-Qaeda.
Likewise, the mainstream media should stop lying about the real situation on the ground in Aleppo. Part of that city is under the control of terrorists, including Al-Qaeda affiliate Al-Nusra Front and ISIL – that are internationally recognized terrorist groups, while they are overtly backed by Saudi Arabia and Turkey. It is not a “liberated zone” yet, as they would like us to believe. The allied forces of Syria, Iran, Russia and Hezbollah are still trying to retake the city which is bathed in the blood of countless victims of the war at the hands of Team Obama and proxies.
Meaning, the offensive by allied forces is the only hope for the besieged civilians in Aleppo. They are the only true forces on the ground who are fighting ISIL and Al-Qaeda – without terrorizing the locals or destroying hospitals and factories. Still, the media in the West are doing whatever they can to weaken the only system that is actually fighting the terrorists there!
Much in the same vein, the mainstream media continue to convince the public that Al-Nusra Front is comprised of “rebels” and “moderates,” while remaining mute to the fact that the terrorist group is the local Al-Qaeda franchise. They equally turn a blind eye to the fact that Saudi Arabia and Turkey have been arming and funding the foreign jihadists. In contrast, they describe the counter-terror alliance of Syria, Iran, Russia and Hezbollah as “negative and destabilizing,” simply because that is the official line in Washington.
Taken together, the War Party and its counterparts in NATO are playing a far less innocent role than they claim in Syria. In collaboration with the mainstream media, they have long manipulated terrorist groups for their own aims. In this context, it is not far-fetched to compare their past policies to the one concerning the Syrian situation now.
Here, simultaneous to the intensification of support for “moderate” terrorists, they have relaxed restrictions on civilian killings and so-called collateral damage. They are taking a far more aggressive role too, fanning the flames to paralyse, polarise, and ultimately get rid of the elected government in Damascus, while promoting whatever narrative they believe best suits them. In these circumstances, for the regime changers to attempt to set themselves apart from the un-evolved and demonic zealots, or to claim that the allied forces are playing a deadly role in Aleppo is laughable.
