The Russian Air Force carried out several airstrikes over the Deir Ezzor Governorate on Wednesday, targeting a number of hideouts that belonged to the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) near the western bank of the Euphrates River.
Among the many terrorist targets in the Deir Ezzor, the Russian Air Force primarily concentrated on the ISIS-controlled Al-‘Arfi District, striking it a half dozen times on Wednesday.
According to a Syrian Arab Army source at the Deir Ezzor Military Airport, the Russian Air Force reportedly destroyed the Islamic State’s training camp in the Al-‘Arfi District, killing a large number of terrorists in the process.
In addition to the airstrikes over Al-‘Arfi, the Russian Air Force also struck the Islamic State’s positions near the ‘Ayyash Storage depot in northern Deir Ezzor.
