The Syrian Arab Army (SAA), backed by Liwaa Al-Quds (Palestinian paramilitary), launched a new offensive  in the northern countryside of Aleppo on Thursday night, targeting the Shaher District in the eastern sector of Handarat Refugee Camp.

So far, the Syrian Armed Forces and Palestinian committees have entered the Shaher District and seized some building blocks; however, they have done this on a number of occasions before retreating the next morning.

More importantly, Liwaa Al-Quds’ elite forces carried out a special operation near the Palestine Mosque on Thursday night, killing a large group of Islamist rebels stationed there, including the Nouriddeen Al-Zinki commander “Abu ‘Abdo Saroukh.”

The purpose of this attack by Liwaa Al-Quds was to avenge the death of a teenage boy Nouriddeen Al-Zinki beheaded last week in the Handarat Refugee Camp.

Many of the Nouriddeen Al-Zinki fighters killed on Thursday night by Liwaa Al-Quds were present at the beheading of ‘Abdullah Al-‘Issa.
