Ankara’s mayor got the message, and the campaign is just in its very early stages, but Greeks beware…Erdogan may have hinted at what his next target may be.
Last week The Duran reported on the alarming comments by Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the country’s foreign ministry, who both claimed that the Dodecanese Islands were Turkish property, challenging the legitimacy of the 1923 Lausanne Treaty.
Ankara’s Mayor İbrahim Melih Gökçek took things even further further with the tweet and map below. The Mayor expands on Erdogan’s claims, to include all the Aegean islands, including Crete.
