A coalition of Islamist rebel group known as the Army of Mujahideen mourned 10 of its fighters who were killed in an airstrike conducted last night on Al-Rashideen 5 district located to the west of Aleppo.

According to the group, the killed militants were especially trained to use the US-made anti-tank TOW missiles; widely used by jihadi groups in their fight against the Syrian government forces across the war-torn country.

Aleppo rebels, led by the internationally-designated Habhet Fateh al-Sham (formerly al-Nusra Front) have failed to lift the siege imposed by the Syrian Army and its allies on the rebel-held districts in the city’s east.

Their gains, achieved in the initial attack, have even been completely reversed with the government troops recapturing al-Assad Suburb a few days ago.
