DAMASCUS, SYRIA (3:15 A.M.) – The Russian Air Force has shown little mercy to the jihadist rebels of Jaysh Al-Fateh (Army of Conquest) tonight, launching several powerful airstrikes over the northwestern countryside of the Aleppo Governorate.
Russian jets began their air campaign tonight by launching airstrikes over several villages in the ‘Anadan Plains, hitting Jaysh Al-Fateh targets near the Gaziantep-Aleppo Highway.
According to a military source in Damascus, the Russian airstrikes specifically struck Jaysh Al-Fateh’s positions at the villages of ‘Anadan, Hayyan, Bayyanoun, Haritan, Khan Assad, Kafr Naha, and Dart ‘Izza in the northwestern countryside of Aleppo.
The military source added that several jihadist rebels were killed by these airstrikes in northwestern Aleppo tonight, including a number of militants from Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham and Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham (formerly Al-Nusra Front).
Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham had a rough day in Aleppo on Tuesday after their top commander was among the dead jihadists in the Sheikh Sa’eed District.
