BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:05 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) reportedly entered the small town of Afrah in the Barada Valley of rural Damascus, Hezbollah’s official media wing claimed on Thursday.

Some reports from pro-government activists indicate that the militants in Afrah and the Syrian Army have reconciled; this is one of the reasons why they were allowed to enter.

In addition to entering Afrah, the Syrian Arab Army also captured the large hilltop of ‘Aridh Al-Saman, which is located directly north of the aforementioned town.

Meanwhile, at the Al-Fijah Springs, the Syrian Arab Army continued their military operations inside this key town on Thursday, striking Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham’s (formerly Al-Nusra Front) final defences surrounding the water well.

If the Syrian Arab Army seizes the water well in the coming days, they will be able to restore the water supply to the Syrian capital after more than 4 weeks.
