Two senior members from the ex-Al-Qaeda affiliate (in Syria), Jabhat Fateh al-Sham, have resigned. Their resignation was announced via an Arabic letter, which is currently circulating on social media.
According to emerging reports, one member was a military commander in Aleppo province, while the other was involved in managing the economy of areas under the group’s control.
The group was previously known as the Al-Nusra front, but they re-branded several months ago, and cut ties with the Al-Qaeda franchise.
