Russia fights to protect world heritage sites from fanatics while Washington complains about imaginary airstrikes almost killing their soldiers illegally operating in Syria. A subtle difference.
Let’s play a quick game of “compare and contrast”.
Russia just spearheaded an attacked on Palmyra, liberating the ancient city from ISIS psychopaths:
And while Russia was saving world heritage sites from fanatics and their improvised explosive devices, Washington was busy complaining about fictitious Russian airstrikes.
There’s a lesson here. Somewhere.
Let’s look at this in a slightly different way.

Just imagine what would remain of this ancient civilisation if Russia hadn’t intervened.
But also, think of those poor American soldiers who were nearly killed by an imaginary Russian airstrike.
